Service Projects for Youth

Whether cleaning up a portion of the White River, helping to build a pedestrian bridge or serving meals to the homeless, we enable youth to better serve their communities and become good citizens.

White River Clean Up
Camptown has adopted a 2.5 mile section of the White River. In this 1/2 day project, we will clean up trash and debris from this section of the river. We will review the basic skills of canoeing and water safety and then travel down the river in canoes as we clean up. We will also stop and take water samples and talk about how water quality impacts the river eco-system.

Customize Your Service Project
We can customize a service project to your group.  Whether you are interested in an environmental project removing invasive plant species or trail construction or maintenance or are looking to help people within the community by sorting clothing or providing services to people in need, we can provide all of the planning and transportation.

For more information, or to sign up for one of our youth service projects, please contact one of our program staff at info@camptown.net or call the Camptown office at 317-471-8277.
