Spiritual/Missions

Fantastic Adventures in Trusting Him (F.A.I.T.H.)
These one-day and overnight retreats are set in either a local camp with cabins and running water or in a campground living in tents. Students get out of their comfort zones and spend focused time with God.

Moving Mountains
This experience gives youth a chance to have fun and get to know themselves, others and God. Using team activities and group discussions, we help youth form their own faith community. They will learn how to rely on God and each other by building trust within the group and discover how God works through every person.

Gaining One’s Direction (G.O.D.)
This powerful retreat creates an environment or self discover and a deeper personal connection with God. As teens face problems in their lives, they will use this experience to learn how to turn to God for guidance. There will be reflection time along with activities that generate self confidence by relying on God as the foundation.

Lead Like Jesus
We often hear, “What would Jesus do?” But how do we really know? On this retreat, young people will see things from Jesus’ perspective. They will explore the events of His life, His teaching, and the tough decisions He made. Centering on Jesus’ example, we’ll discuss leadership styles and look to the ways Jesus lead throughout his ministry.

Adventure Missions – Service in Natchez, Mississippi
Natchez is one of the areas that the hurricane evacuees from New Orleans and surrounding communities fled to during the Katrina and Rita hurricanes.  In this service-focused mission trip, we will live in the same shelter as the evacuees, sleep on the same Red Cross cots and prepare our own meals. While in Natchez, we will serve the community by working in the area’s children’s home, soup kitchen, food bank, and help local residents in their homes.
