Fundraising to make a difference.
Camptown provides its programs to youth and youth groups at little to no cost. Fundraising to meet the annual budget and monthly financial commitments is vital to allowing us to continue our work with the youth we serve. Fundraising volunteers can help us meet these needs by conducting prospect research, making prospect calls, setting appointments for staff calls, and assisting with other fundraising activities.
Events Support
Camptown receives 40% of its annual operating revenue through its special events. A successful event takes many volunteers working together. Our three major events are the Business Breakfast, Tom Lehman Memorial Golf Outing, and Annual Dinner & Auction.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Business Breakfast (April 9th): Make calls to local business people to invite guests willing to hear about Camptown and make a donation, registration, AV support, or clean up.
Tom Lehman Memorial Golf Outing (June 7th): Set up, clean up, registration, raffle ticket sales, solicit for raffle ticket prizes, bag valet, hole in one witnesses, cooks, servers, beverage cart drivers (must be 21 or older), photographer, run putting contest or course support.
Annual Dinner & Auction (November 12th): Set up, clean up, registration, solicit for auction items, computer support for data entry, auction data entry, auction item runners, AV tech for program, driver to pick up and drop off entertainer, media promotions, program coordinator, auctioneer, or emcee.
If you are interested in volunteering in any other capacity or have any questions, please contact Don Schafer at don.schafer@camptown.net. We look forward to you joining us in our mission to lead youth to a better path.
